BALTIMORE — Baltimore City recorded 133 homicides and 274 non-fatal shootings this year as of August 2024.

Since September 2020, WMAR-2 News has tracked daily murders and shootings each month in the city.
Here is September 2024:
9/29 - 11:17pm: Melvin Rogers, 43, was shot to death in the 1800 block of Wilhelm Street. Police arrested and charged 31-year-old Uriah Cunningham.
9/29 - 6:43pm: A 40-year-old man was injured in a shooting. Police have since determined this shooting was self inflicted.
9/29 - 8:00pm: Dean Reaves, 32, was shot to death in the area of Augusta and Fredrick Avenues.
9/28 - 6:25pm: A 24-year-old man was shot in the 600 block of North Highland Avenue. His condition is unknown.
9/27 - 11:30pm: A 41-year-old man was shot in the 900 block of Bethune Road. He is currently stable.
9/27 - 10:00pm: A 20-year-old woman was wounded in a shooting in the 5700 block of Loch Raven Boulevard. She is currently stable.
9/27 - 4:01pm: A 41-year-old man was shot during an attempted robbery in the 1600 block of Homestead Street. He is said to be stable. A 15-year-old was charged with attempted murder.
9/27 - 4:00pm: Dion Huff, 49, was shot in the 2500 block of Greenmount Avenue. He died October 5. Police arrested and charged 25-year-old Nasya Duvall.
9/26 - 7:50pm: A 20-year-old man was shot in the upper body in the 600 block of West Franklin Street. He is in critical but stable condition.
9/24 - 12:13am: A 32-year-old man was shot in the foot in the 2500 block of Garrison Boulevard. He's expected to survive.
9/22 - 11:22pm: An 18-year-old was shot in the 3200 block of Greenmount Avenue. He's expected to survive.
9/22 - 9:06pm: Jasmine Simuel, 33, was shot to death in the 2700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.
9/22 - 8:13pm: A 17 year-old boy was shot in the 900 block of E. Chase Street. His injuries are non-life-threatening.
9/22 - 3:57am: A 33-year-old man was shot in the 2700 block of E. Eager Street. He is in critical condition.
9/21- 3:31pm: Ryan Cain, 24, was shot to death in the 4600 block of York Road.
9/21 - 12:23pm: A 42-year-old man was shot in the 4600 block of York Road. His injuries are non-life threatening.
9/21 - 3:23am: Kevin Mejia, 27, was assaulted in the 6300 block of Eastern Avenue. He died September 25. His death was ruled a homicide. Police have arrested and charged a 28-year-old suspect.
9/21- 1:47am:Christian Leight, 24, was shot and killed in the 1100 block of Marshall Street.
9/21- 12:57am: Two men, including 37-year-old George Massey, were killed in a triple shooting in the 5100 block of Park Heights Avenue. There is no word on the third victim's condition.
9/20 - 7:02am: A 45-year-old man was shot in the unit block of N. Eutaw Street.
9/19 - 8:21pm: Two men, ages 30 and 26 were shot in the 1100 block of E. 20th Street. The 26-year-old, Errique Neal, later died at the hospital.
9/19 - 6:00pm: A 24-year-old man was shot in the 5300 block of Frankford Avenue. He is receiving treatment for his injuries.
9/18 - 11:04pm: A 17-year-old was shot in the 500 block of N. Rose Street. He's listed in critical condition.
9/18 - 8:16pm: A 27-year-old man was shot in the 300 block of S. Mount Olivet Lane. He's expected to survive. Police have since arrested and charged 40-year-old Tavone Lewis.
9/18 - 6:33pm: Darryl Mitchell, 30, was shot and killed in the 4100 block of Saint Georges Avenue.
9/18 - 2:37pm: A 31-year-old man was shot in the 500 block of N. Fulton Avenue. The victim is stable.
9/17 - 10:32pm: A 25-year-old man was injured in a shooting in the 3500 block of Greenspring Avenue. An armed suspect was taken into custody.
9/17 - 10:04pm: A 43-year-old man was shot in the 1700 block of Montpelier Street. His injuries are non-life threatening.
9/17 - 9:32 p.m: A double shooting left Andre Dukes, 29, dead and another person injured in the 7200 block of McClean Blvd.
9/17 - 4:23pm: Michael Simms, 20, died in a shooting in the 400 block of Bloom Street.
9/17 - 10:12am: A 31-year-old man was shot in the 1600 block of W. North Avenue. His injuries are non-life-threatening.
9/16 - 7:40pm: Melvin Sheppard, 38, died in a shooting in the 2700 block of Spelman Road.
9/15 - 5:24pm: A 20-year-old man was shot multiple times in the 1500 block of W. North Avenue. His injuries are serious.
9/15 - 10:19am: A woman was shot in the 2800 block of Edmondson Avenue. Her injuries are non-life-threatening.
9/14 – 11:53pm: Antonio Peoples, 36, died in a shooting in the 700 block of Aliceanna Street. Homicide detectives have arrested and charged 19-year-old Quontay Spinks.
9/14 – 11:14pm: Reginal Bernard Harrod, 59, died in a shooting in the 1100 block of Springfield Avenue.
9/12 - 3:05am: A 42-year-old man was shot in the 600 and 700 blocks of Light Street.
9/11 - 10:28pm: Richard Evans, 41, died in a shooting in the 1300 block of N. Calhoun Street.
9/11 - 1:35am: A 54-year-old man was shot in the head during an altercation in the 2100 block of Wilkens Avenue. On September 17, detectives determined the victim's injury was not a gunshot wound. No other details were released.
9/10- 12:10am: A 29-year-old man was shot in the 3600 block of St. Victor Street. He was transported and listed in stable condition.
9/9 - 2:40pm: A 20-year-old man was shot in the 700 block of North Woodington Road. He is listed as stable.
9/7-10:45pm: A 17-year-old was shot in the 1600 block of N. Bentalou Street. He was taken to an area hospital, where his condition is unknown.
9/5 - 8:02pm: A 23-year-old man was shot in the 1800 block of Greenmont Avenue. He's in stable condition.
9/4 - 9:31pm: Two men, ages 24 and 27, were shot in the 4900 block of Eastern Avenue. Both victims are stable.
9/3 - 5:12pm: A 34-year-old man was shot in the 4800 block of Palmer Street. He was taken to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries.
9/3- 1:02am: Tyreke Brown, 22, was shot and killed in the 1300 block of Russell Street.
9/1 - 6:22pm: A 34-year-old man was shot in the 500 block of Winston Avenue. He is in stable condition.
9/1 - 5:40pm: A 33-year-old man was shot in the 600 block of W. Baltimore Street. He is in stable condition.
9/1 – 12:00am: Darrell Burton, 38, was shot and killed in the 800 block of Bonaparte Avenue.
