FREDERICK COUNTY — A car crash at Union Bridge Quarry left three people dead Sunday morning.
Around 8:30 a.m., the Frederick County Sheriff's deputies responded to reports of a single vehicle crash at the Union Bridge Quarry, near Peter Shriner and Clemsonville Roads.
At the scene, first responders found a 2022 Dodge Charger that had driven off the road and fallen into the bottom of the dry quarry.
Three people were inside the car during the crash. Kortney Angleberger, 28, Robert Grossnickle, 65, and Rachel Willis, 23, died at the scene.
Deputies believe that the Dodge Charger was speeding at the time of the crash.
Units from Carroll County and the Frederick County Sheriff's Office also responded to the crash.
The Frederick County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
