On Tuesday, the BCC unveiled the renovated gym, weight room, recording studio and multi-purpose room. Crews also put up fencing for safety and security and renovated six bathrooms in the resident cottages.

BCC President and CEO L A Spagnola says the renovation helps so much.

"It helps everyone, it helps the staff that work with them, it helps the kids, the families," said Spagnola. "It gives you a really nice feeling of comfort because the spaces are just that much more rejuvenated, they're inviting. It allows the things that happen between people, the relationships to really spark."

Built Upon a Dream is based on ABC Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, offering local non-profit organizations a chance to greatly improve their facilities.

On Thursday, a 30 minute special wil tell the story of the BCC's Dream Build at 7:30 p.m.
