HAGERTSOWN, md. — Police in Maryland say a 16-year-old girl riding a hoverboard has died after being hit by a city dump truck.
Hagerstown police said members of a construction crew reported that the girl was riding the balance scooter when the vehicle hit her.
Authorities said the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her identity has not been released.
Officials said the Hagerstown Department of Public Works owns the truck. Police are continuing to investigate.
