ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) — A Maryland police department says one of its officers was assaulted by a man while he was in line at a fast-food restaurant. The Montgomery County Police Department said in a news release that the officer was waiting in line to order a meal at the restaurant in Rockville on Thursday when his assailant came into the restaurant, walked up to the officer and punched him in the face twice without being provoked. The department says 21-year-old Nyziere London of Coatesville, Pennsylvania, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault and resisting arrest.
