Baltimore needs more college graduates; Building STEPS is the mechanism to improve college and career outcomes for the city’s high potential students. From expanded career opportunities to increased earning potential to improved long term quality of life, a college degree changes the lives of these mostly low-income, first generation college goers.
Building STEPS helps Baltimore City kids from underserved neighborhoods gain access to college. They work with kids starting in 11th grade and have an 82% college grad success rate.
Like everyone else, the organization has been hit hard by the Pandemic, so they are currently looking for more students to apply this year to experience the program via zoom.
