1 in 3 Marylanders lives with food insecurity, and the problem has only gotten worse in 2020.
The Maryland Food Bank has a 40 year history of helping Maryland, and need is greater than ever. From March - October this year, the Maryland Food Bank gave out 96% more meals than in previous years.
Because of the dedication of its board, employees, and volunteers, along with generous corporate and personal donations, the Maryland Food Bank was able to meet the needs of the community safely. The food bank expects the effects of the pandemic to be long reaching, so need may remain high into 2021.
