For more than forty years, the Maryland Food Bank has helped feed children, seniors, veterans, and hard-working families, but it will take more than food to end hunger.
Due in part to the high cost of living in Maryland, and the fact that wages for most workers have remained stagnant, 1 in 9 Marylanders live with food insecurity. Hunger is a problem in every community in our state, and many people and families are just one emergency away from making impossible choices between putting food on the table and paying the rent.
