Ronald McDonald House - Quarantine Flowers

Posted
and last updated

There are currently 10 families who are quarantined in Baltimore at the Ronald McDonald House - families whose kids have cancer, need life-saving surgeries or have other conditions which require that they be away from home.

The Ronald McDonald House has always provided meals for its families through the generosity of volunteers and since the quarantine has been in place, volunteers are no longer allowed to serve meals. Through donations, the house is continuing to provide meals for the families that are still there.

During quarantine, a group of crafty folks in the community have been "flower bombing" people for special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries and thank you's or just to brighten someone's day. They decided to turn this into a serving opportunity for kids and their families while doing something positive for the Ronald McDonald House of Maryland. To date, they've raised more than $5000 Ronald McDonald House.
