Muir's Tavern in Locust Point celebrates 75 years

BALTIMORE — At Muir's Tavern, beer is $2.20 during the day and $2.50 at night.

It has been sitting on the corner of East Fort and Marshall for the past 75 years in Locust Point.

Once you walk in, you walk into Batlimore. Brooks on the wall. Utz Chips on the rack. Old Bay on the shelf. Cans and bottles of beer, but no beer on tap. The only thing on tap is a slushy.

Grandpa started the place in 1944. Uncle Roland, or “Brother,” ran it until he passed away in November. Now, Tommy is in charge, and he says, “It's worked for 75 years, and we are now shooting for 100.”

Happy Birthday Muir’s Tavern!
