Tuesday morning the AARP of Maryland donated $5,000 to assist Hagerstown residents displaced by a fire last week.

The fire at the Woodbridge Apartments destroyed 37 units, leaving 74 people without a home.

At 11:30 a.m. AARP officials will present the funds to the Hagerstown Seventh Day Adventist Church on Robinwood Drive.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church is still accepting gift cards, clothes, school supplies and household items for the fire victims. Online donations can also be made at lifehousechurch.org
