MOUNT AIRY, Md. — A family has been displaced following a fire in Mount Airy on Monday afternoon.
Units were dispatched to the mobile home just before 3 p.m. in the 7800 block of West Hill Road.
Officials say the home was well involved in fire upon arrival and that the occupants were all out of the home. After putting out the fire, it was discovered that there was not only extensive damage to the home and its' contents, but to a vehicle in the driveway ads well.
There were no injuries to the family or firefighters. The family escaped with only what they were wearing.
The origin and cause of the fire are currently under investigation.
