Juvenile charged for setting trash can on fire in Carroll Co. school bathroom

WESTMINSTER, Md. (WMAR) — A juvenile was charged for setting a trash can on fire inside a Carroll County Public School bathroom.

It happened Tuesday just before 1:30 p.m. at West Middle School in Westminster.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal says no one was hurt and it took crews only five minutes to put out the flames.

Investigators found that the fire was intentionally set.

It's estimated the fire caused around $100 in damage.

The juvenile charged was released to their guardian.
