Wreaths Across America has been honoring the lives of military members for the holidays for 26 years.
For the third year, Chevrolet and dealers from across Maryland is supporting the non-profit. They donated 640 wreaths to the cause that will be placed by the headstones of military members at the Baltimore National Cemetery in Catonsville on Saturday. A total of 3,200 wreaths will be laid during the ceremony.
"To see other people and how just a small token, like putting a wreath down, really means something to these families and people, it's amazing," said DAn Mead, an Army ranger and volunteer co-chair of the Arlington Wreath Committee.
Wreaths Across America will place nearly 1.6 million wreaths at cemeteries across the country on Saturday, including 246,700 wreaths at the Arlington National Cemetery.
