BALTIMORE — Two residents at Baltimore's Keswick senior living facility have died after testing positive for COVID-19.

According to the facility, one resident was a patient in hospice care and the other passed away at a hospital.

There have also been nine other positive cases reported at the facility. A total of 28 people with symptoms have been tested.

Residents testing positive have been isolated in a separate unit to prevent the spread of infection to staff and other patients.

Staff members testing positive are required to quarantine at home for 14 days or until released by their physician.

Weeks ago, Keswick implemented a No Visitor policy. Only essential staff, care providers, and vendors are allowed into the building, while only direct patient care staff are permitted on resident floors.

Keswick says staff members are screened daily with temperature checks, while all residents have their temperature taken and recorded three times daily.

Families of residents are able to get updates and ask questions by calling 410-662-4301.
