GWYNN OAK, Md. — All Baltimore County Public School activities are now canceled, including prom and any senior trips.

Baltimore County Public Schools superintendent Darryl Williams made the announcement Friday.

Now students and parents are fighting to keep graduation.

Monique Wallace has a son who is a senior and she created a petition asking school officials not to cancel graduation for the class of 2020.

"We want the kids to be able to still have this momentous occasion and have that graduation with their family, with their friends when this is over. So, we just don't want it to be a no, we don't even care if it’s after the fall," said Wallace.

Wallace said although this petition is for Baltimore County. She hopes other districts find a way to keep graduation for their seniors as well.
