TOWSON, Md. — Baltimore County is opening a drive-through COVID-19 testing clinic for patients with a referral from their healthcare provider.
The new site will be at the Timonium Fairgrounds on York Road and will open on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning April 16.
“Our response to this pandemic must include every effort possible to help reduce the spread of the virus and save lives, and testing is a critical component of those efforts,” said County Executive Johnny Olszewski. “Increasing testing capacity in Baltimore County is part of our comprehensive effort to keep our residents safe and healthy during this crisis.”
Patients arriving for testing will not have to leave their vehicles during the process.
Those wishing to get tested must first get a referral from their healthcare provider and then schedule an appointment using the state-designated Chesapeake Regional Information System.
After testing, patients will receive instructions at the clinic and will receive test results within five to seven days.
Residents with questions or who need assistance can call the Baltimore County COVID-19 Hotline seven days a week from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 410-887-3816.
