Carroll County announces one death, six additional cases of COVID-19

CARROLL COUNTY, Md. — The Carroll County Health Department has announced six additional cases of COVID-19 in the county and one death.

They include:

  • a man in his 20s
  • a woman in her 40s
  • a man in his 50s
  • a woman in her 50s
  • a woman in her 80s has been found to be positive at Carroll Lutheran Village

One additional staff member at Carroll Lutheran Village, a woman in her 60s, has been found to be positive; bringing the total to 2 staff members.

The Health Department and the Maryland Department of Health continue to work closely with Carroll Lutheran Village to discuss infection control, conservation of personal protective equipment, disinfection and cleaning, patient care and isolation, and communications.

They also announced the sixth death from Pleasant View Nursing Home due to COVID-19. The individual was a man in his 80s with underlying medical conditions.
