HUNT VALLEY, Md. — The McCormick spice mill in Hunt Valley has temporarily suspended its operations after at least one employee tested positive for COVID-19.

A spokeswoman for the company said the facility is being sanitized and undergoing a deep cleaning in line with company protocols and procedures before re-opening.

"Operations will remain suspended until all safety protocols have been completed and we can responsibly resume operations,” said the spokeswoman.

According to McCormick, they have 12,000 employees and 118 facilities around the world. So far the company says they've had a handful of employees test positive for COVID-19, including one employee who recently died at one of their locations outside of Maryland. The company would not confirm the location.
