Here's a lists of Maryland counties and other regions that are requiring residents to wear face masks

MARYLAND — In his press conference, Wednesday afternoon, Governor Larry Hogan issued an executive order for all Marylanders to start wearing face masks when inside retail establishments or when riding any form of public transportation in Maryland.

The order takes effect Saturday at 7 a.m.

As a result of COVID-19, several counties throughout the state of Maryland have decided to require residents to wear face masks as another form of protection.

Here is a list of those counties:

Anne Arundel County requires all store workers and shoppers to wear face masks inside of all businesses. For more information, click here.

Baltimore City Government advises all residents to wear cloth masks or other facial coverings, as defined by the CDC, when out in the community and especially when social distancing measures are not possible. For more information, click here.

Calvert County Health Department requires that all customers should wear face coverings in grocery stores, pharmacies, convenient stores, and all retail establishments.

Retailers should also purchase face coverings for employees and encourage employees to wear a face covering, especially for staff who are in contact with customers. For more information, click here.

Charles County requires that residents wear face coverings in grocery stores, pharmacies, retail establishments and public transportation. For more information, click here.

District of Columbia (Washington DC) requires requires all residents to wear face masks when they shop in public places. For more information, click here.

Frederick County requires customers and employees at essential retail businesses to wear face masks. For more information, click here.

Frederick County Health Officer Dr. Barbara Brookmyer announced that since Governor Larry Hogan’s Executive Order is immediately effective, she is issuing a rescission of the health order that was issued on Tuesday for Frederick County

Howard County: The Center for Disease Control recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain. For more information, click here.

Montgomery County requires all shoppers to wear face coverings in grocery stores, pharmacies, and large chain retail establishments. For more information, click here.

Prince George’s County requires all patrons shopping in County grocery stores, pharmacies and large chain retail establishments are required to wear face masks or face coverings to enter. For more information, click here.
