COLUMBIA, Md. — More COVID-19 drive-thru testing sites are opening, and current ones are increasing their testing capacity.

Howard County Executive Calvin Ball paid a visit to the testing center at the Columbia vehicle emissions inspection site.

The center has four lanes open with the ability to open another one if needed.

They have increased testing to 200 per week and hope to increase it to 1,000 per week soon.

“So, these are not the test from South Korea yet. My understanding is that the governor has procured aspects of those tests and are still waiting on certain other components."

Officials said, results will be available in about three days.
