BALTIMORE — Five local churches are making sure some of our front-line workers have a meal to enjoy this Easter Sunday.

They partnered with class act catering to deliver meals to ICU staff at the University of Maryland, Sinai, Good Samaritan, and both Johns Hopkins main campus and Bayview campus.

Bishop Walter Thomas, pastor of New Psalmist Baptist Church said he wanted to do his part to support healthcare workers and hopes with gesture will show the staff that he is praying for them.

The staff say they are more than grateful.

"Gestures like this make us feel so warm inside for the expression of gratitude from our community and it inspires our staff and it helps us keep going during this really difficult time," said Alison Brown, president of University of Maryland Medical Center.

Other churches that helped donate were Morning Star Baptist Church, Southern Baptist Church, New Shiloh Baptist Church and Greater Gethsemane Ministries.
