Maryland General Assembly to adjourn beginning Wednesday

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — The Maryland General Assembly will adjourn effective Wednesday amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The Maryland General Assembly will be condensing the session into three days and plan on coming back in the last week of May for a special session.

They will only have one third of their staff during the final three days of this session.

This will be the first time since the Civil War that the Maryland General Assembly will adjourn early.

There are currently 32 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Maryland.
