BALTIMORE — City Council President candidate Carl Stokes teamed up with a few small businesses to deliver hot meals to senior citizens.
Normally these seniors would get a meal from a program in the city to encourage eating and congregating together, but since the pandemic they haven't been able to do that.
"Obviously people are hungry, the seniors can't get out and they certainly can't get a hot meal easily to be able to bring seniors living in our city a hot meal is fantastic, they're hungry so we're glad to be able to do that."
They'll be delivering 200 meals to seniors throughout the week.
