BALTIMORE — Flu activity rises in October. If you haven't got vaccinated yet, you may want to do it soon.

Notre Dame of Maryland University School of Pharmacy held a flu shot clinic.

The campus community, including students, staff and faculty received flu shots.

Health experts said it's extremely important to get your flu shot this year, as the pandemic continues.

"It's really important that people get vaccinated and we want to make sure that especially our campus, and our surrounding community protects themselves against the flu to help protect them also from COVID because the more likely they have the flu, if they get the flu, the more likely they are to be susceptible to things like the COVID and other viruses. So we want to make sure the community and the campus are safe."
