BALTIMORE — Coronavirus testing is getting faster in Baltimore.

One company said, new test results will be available in as little as 72 hours.

That beats the five to 10-day turnaround we've seen at some test sites.

The new tests come from HBR and Nurses Heart Medical Staffing

That three-day wait period is for antigen tests, the nasal swab tests to see if you currently have the virus.

The group also has antibody tests to see if you had the virus and may want to donate plasma to help those in need.

Those tests take as little as 15 minutes.

“What happens is a lot of people who don't know that they're carrying the virus, their employers, they're not getting paid for 10 days or two weeks. But if you had a test that allowed you to get the results in less than an hour than you don't have to lose that money.”

The group said they'll provide testing clinics around the city as well as Baltimore County, working with different testing groups to get these new tests implemented.
