Pickersgill Retirement Community resident tests positive for COVID-19

TOWSON, Md. — A resident at Pickersgill Retirement Community in Towson has tested positive for COVID-19.

The patient has been hospitalized for eight days, but the officials test results were received Wednesday.

Prior to their hospitalization, the resident had already been quarantining in their room after another previous Emergency Room visit.

The facility says they believe the resident may have contracted the virus while at the ER.

Currently no other residents or staff are showing any symptoms, according to the facility.

As of Thursday morning, there have been 2,331 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Maryland, 353 of which are in Baltimore County.
