CARROLL COUNTY, Md. — The Carroll County Health Department has announced the county’s third, fourth, and fifth deaths as a result of COVID-19.
The three individuals were all residents at Pleasant View Nursing Home and all had underlying medical conditions.
The first individual was a male in his 70s, the second was a male in his 70s, and the third was a female in her 60s.
There are 77 total positive COVID-19 cases from Pleasant View Mount Airy, all facility residents. Eighteen of the facility’s 95 residents tested negative. All resident test results have now been reported.
Officials say staff experiencing symptoms are being tested and the health department will follow up with individuals if needed.
