BALTIMORE — Workers on the frontlines of the pandemic are dealing with so much right now.

On Friday, six West Baltimore restaurants provided catered lunches to feed University of Maryland Baltimore workers during this difficult time.

Those workers say they're very appreciative off these efforts.

"One member of my department in the environmental services group actually shed a tear," said Denise Meyer. "She was so thankful because she wasn't sure how she was going to juggle picking up her son from day care, getting to the grocery store to pack lunches every day. So the need is truly there, and it's greatly, greatly appreciated."

This was part of the university's 'Food for our Front Lines' program. It also supports restaurants that are hit hard by this crisis.
