ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Maryland's Department of Corrections says they've vaccinated more that 3,240 of their 8,000 employees.
It's possible even more have been vaccinated, because the department says some of their employees work other jobs ranging from health care to volunteer firefighting.
The Department does not however require their employees to be vaccinated, meaning some may have already refused the chance to get one.
To date -- there have been 10,288 COVID-19 cases among corrections employees including 30 deaths, according to the State Health Department.
