BALTIMORE — The heroes helping us fight this coronavirus pandemic are health care workers.
The University of Maryland, Baltimore has an easy way for you to say thank you to them.
They are collecting virtual thank you cards for the staff at the University of Maryland Medical Center.
All you have to do is make a card, take a picture of it and email it to UMB.
They will share the pictures of the cards with the staff through social media and videos that will play throughout the hospital.
The executive director of UMB’s Office of Community Engagement said it’s a great activity to do with the kids and a good way to teach them about kindness and compassion.
"It really does teach the kids who the real heroes are right now and it’s always great to say thank you to people who are helping others.”
If you want to share a thank you card with the staff at UMMC, email it to: cards@ umaryland.edu.
