BALTIMORE — Patapsco Wastewater Treatment Plant workers said they are dealing in unsafe conditions and no measures are being taken to protect them, especially during the COVID-19 outbreak.
One worker told WMAR-2 News, they just got hand sanitizer on Friday.
"Prior to that, we hand no hand sanitizer on the plan what-so ever. We have no breathing apparatus; we have no protective clothing," said HAVC tech, Anthony Hill.
Officials said they are getting workers all the protective equipment they can and the labor commissioner’s office is handling today's walkout.
