MARYLAND — The Maryland Department of Health (MDH) provided on an update on vaccine shipments that were delayed by last week's storm.

MDH says federal vaccine distributors will be working throughout this weekend to catch up on weather-related backorders. The CDC anticipates that a majority of both Pfizer and Moderna backorders will be delivered to providers on Monday. Backorders will be filled on a “first-in, first-out” basis.

Moderna vaccines that are not delivered by Monday are expected to be delivered by Wednesday.

No vaccine deliveries are expected to occur this weekend.
