Two Prince George's County men were arrested and charged Monday after investigators built a case implicating the pair in the distribution and possession of child pornography.
Nicholas Eber, 26, or Laurel, Md., faces three counts of distributing child pornography and six counts of possessing child porn. Joseph Eber, 21, also of Laurel, Md., is charged with five counts of possession of child pornography. Both are being held on bond at the Prince George's County Detention Center.
The investigation started in February, when Maryland State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received a referral from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reporting the distribution of child pornography from a specific internet address. Investigators tracked that address to the Eber's residence.
Police served a search warrant at the residence Monday morning. A preliminary forensic review of the Eber's electronic devices revealed they held child pornography files.
