Animal Control was investigating a Linthicum home when they found over a dozen dogs living in substandard conditions, and now they are looking for those dog's owners.
Police say 16 total dogs were found in the home on Sarah Avenue on April 13, but only four belonged to the people that lived there.
While the dogs were in Animal Control's care, an employee saw one of them had a microchip, which was traced back to an owner who reported his dog missing in May of 2017. After that dog was reunited with his family, Animal Control made a post on Facebook in hopes to reconnect other owners with their potentially missing dogs.
There are 11 more dogs police are trying to return to their rightful owner. Most of the dogs have potential adopters lined up if the owners do not come forward. Police say the other four dogs that were found belonged to the homeowners and are in the care of Animal Control Officers at the Animal Control Facility.
