LAUREL, Md. — Anne Arundel County Police have arrested the suspect who was involved in the September 23 Laurel shooting.

At around 8:30 p.m., officers arrived to the area of Irving Street and Laurel Fort Meade Road for a shooting. Upon arrival, police located a man who said that he was standing in the 200 block of Red Clay Road when he was shot in his lower torso.
The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
After doing some investigating, detectives were able to identify the suspect as 20-year-old Tyjuan Chapple, of New Carrolton. Chapple was apprehended on the warrant Wednesday evening and is currently in custody.
He has been charged with Armed Robbery, Robbery, Assault First Degree, Assault Second Degree, Firearm use in a Felony and Theft less than $100.
