ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Anne Arundel County Police are trying to put together the pieces behind the death of 25-year-old Michael Millard.

Police say they responded to a crash around 11 p.m. on March 14 and found an unoccupied car on Jennifer Road. Police say the white Honda had drifted off the road and into a fire hydrant, causing minor damage to the car.

The driver of the car was not found at the scene, and a day later the owner of the car told police her son, Michael Millard, had gone missing. Millard was reportedly driving the car at the time of the crash.

A missing persons report was filed that day and on March 17 around 3:30 p.m., police found Millard dead on the bank of Weems Creek in Annapolis, near the crash site.

The cause and manner of Millard's death will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore.
