HANOVER, Md. (WMAR) — Anne Arundel County Police have arrested a man they say got into a fight and fired a gun outside of the Cancun Cantina in Hanover Wednesday morning.
Officers responded to the popular night spot at 7501 Telegraph Road at around 1:10 a.m. where they found a large crowd of people outside.
Witnesses told police there was a fight that ended with gunfire.
Police learned that an adult male victim was taken to the hospital with what's being called a "non-life threatening sharp force injury" after being assaulted during the incident. Officials say no one including the victim was shot.
There were however multiple reports of cars being hit by bullets.
Police later were able to identify Eric Craig Brown, 23, of Annapolis as the man who fired the weapon.
He was arrested Thursday and charged with Attempted First and Second Degree Murder as well as several assault and handgun charges.
