An Annapolis man pleaded guilty to manslaughter in relation to the death of Fredy Roberto Lopez-Martinez.

Howard County Fire and Rescue responded to a report of an unconscious man on July 17, 2017. Officials found Lopez-Martinez laying in his car outside of his home and was taken to a hospital.

Doctors said Lopez-Martinez an extensive intracranial bleed, skull fracture, and left orbital roof fracture. He died on June 27.

After an investigation, police found that Lopez-Martinez and Santos Abel Diaz-Lemus had a fight in Jessup on July 16. Reports show that the two were drinking.

After Lopez-Martinez punched Diaz-Lemus, Lemus took out a screwdriver from his car and stabbed Martinez three times, hitting him once above the left eye.
