It was later discovered Perry was living in the RV that was set on fire.

Perry was identified by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner during an autopsy, and they say his cause of death was blunt force trauma with the manner being homicide.

A day after Perry's body was found, homicide detectives said they began executing search warrants and discovered a person of interest, Nichols. Nichols was charged after being interviewed and through evidence recovered at the scene.

An investigation revealed that Nichols did target Perry and this was not an isolated incident. Police have not released a motive at this time.
