GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WMAR) — Anne Arundel County Police have identified a body found inside a car in Glen Burnie as that of a missing man.
Brian Gary Gifford, 56, was identified by latent fingerprints, and hadn't been seen since July 16. He was officially reported missing on July 23.
It was last Saturday around 4:43 p.m. when officers were called to the 800 block of Aquahart Road for a report of someone possibly inside a vehicle.
On scene police found a man dead inside a car. According to detectives, he appeared to have been there for some time.
Investigators later learned that the car was linked to an active missing person case.
An autopsy conducted by the Medical Examiner's Office revealed the victim had suffered trauma to the body and ruled his death a homicide.
A reward of up to $10,000.00 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction of those involved in Gifford's murder.
