A man who carjacked a woman in Brooklyn Park on Oct. 6 was arrested in Baltimore Wednesday, Anne Arundel County Police said.

Baltimore Police found the stolen vehicle in the 2700 block of Bookert Drive in the city's Cherry Hill neighborhood. An investigation yielded information that allowed police to get a search warrant, executed by Northern District Detectives and Baltimore Police of a residence on that block, county police said.

A suspect, Melvin Edward Lee, 57, of the block where he was found, was arrested in the basement of the residence.

Police say on Oct. 6, at about 7:10 p.m., Lee approached a woman walking to her car in the 5100 block of Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn Park. Lee showed a handgun and demanded her keys. He then drove away, leaving the woman uninjured.
