ANNAPOLIS, Md. — A store employee was pistol whipped during an armed robbery and another man was jumped by three suspects in separate incidents in Annapolis Sunday night.

At about 12:30 a.m., a man said he was standing outside in the unit block of Hicks Avenue when three suspects approached him, police said. The group assaulted the man and demanded money. The man didn’t have anything of value on him, and the suspects fled without taking anything. The man refused medical treatment for his minor injuries.

About an hour later in the 1900 block of Forest Drive, two male suspects, one with a gun, entered a business, police said. The man with a gun struck an employee in the head with the weapon, knocking the employee over. Near simultaneously to the bludgeoning of the employee, a shot was fired into the ceiling. The robbers took the employees wallet and fled the area. The employee was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
