HANOVER, Md. — A Hanover gas station was robbed at gunpoint early Thursday morning, Anne Arundel County Police said.

Officers responded to reports of an armed commercial robbery at a Shell Station at 1356 Dorsey Road. Police said three suspects walked into the business, one displaying a handgun, and announced a robbery. The store clerk complied and the trio fled the area with an undetermined amount of cash.

Police searched the area but did not find the suspects. The department is looking at the possibility that the robbery may be related to two other armed robberies in the county that occurred early Wednesdayparticularly in terms of similarities like the trio of suspects with only one producing a weapon and their target of a convenience store or gas station.

The Anne Arundel County Police Robbery Unit is investigating all three incidents. Anyone with information should call police at 410-222-4720 or use the tip line at 410-222-4700.
