GLEN BURNIE, Md. — Anne Arundel County Police arrested and charged a man for setting his home on fire in Glen Burnie.

Police say 58-year-old Dennis A. Bouyer was arrested and charged with first-degree arson and reckless endangerment after his house, located on the corner of Binsted Road and Fitzallen Road, caught fire early Wednesday morning.

Fire crews responded to the scene of the incident and reported seeing flames coming from around a window on the front of the one-story, single-family home. They say members of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department Fire and Explosives Investigation Unit determined that the fire was incendiary in nature.

Officials say at the scene Bouyer approached firefighters and told them he was the homeowner and that he started the fire. Bouyer was then located and arrested shortly after police were notified of the incident.

Investigators are still investigating the fire and are asking anyone who may have seen anything unusual in that area or have photos or video of the fire to contact them. They may be contacted at the TIPS line at (410)222-TIPS or by using the online form. Individuals may remain anonymous using either means of contact.
