FORT MEADE, Md. — A boy was beaten and robbed at gunpoint near the parking lot of a middle school Monday evening in Fort Meade, Anne Arundel County Police said.
Officers responded to a call of a robbery in the 1100 block of 26th Street, at the entrance of the parking lot for Meade Middle School. A juvenile male said he was walking in the area when he was approached by two suspects. The first suspect asked to borrow the boy's phone, after which he yelled, “Do you have any money?” and began hitting the boy. The suspect continued to pummel the boy, who eventually got back on his feet, at which point the second suspect produced a handgun.
