ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WMAR) — A man is in custody after forcing his way into another man's apartment, and threatening to kill him with a sword.

It happened Friday, a little before 2 p.m. in the 900 block of President Street in Annapolis.

The victim told police he was walking into an apartment, when a man, 31-year-old Michael Davis forced his way in and grabbed a sword that was hanging on the wall.

Davis allegedly unsheathed the sword and began threatening to kill the victim an another person who was inside the apartment.

During the outburst, police say Davis somehow fell down on his back, allowing for one of the victims to hold him and the sword down until officers could arrive.

Davis was arrested and charged with first and second degree assault, home invasion, fourth degree burglary, reckless endangerment, and trespassing. He's currently being held without bail at the Jennifer Road Detention Center.
