A 54-year-old woman was robbed and assaulted at Maryland Live Casino Thursday.
According to police, the suspect robbed and assaulted the victim and then fled the area in his vehicle. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment of head and facial injuries.
Surveillance video captured the incident, leading investigators to David Jones, 36, of Bowie, Maryland.
Jones was arrested Friday and charged with robbery, theft and assault.
During a search of Jones' home, police found additional evidence linking the suspect to the robbery. He was also served with several outstanding arrest warrants from various other jurisdictions for failing to appear in court.
