Police: Man attacked by young boys with a knife in Annapolis

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — A man suffered several cuts to his head and body after he told police he was attacked and almost robbed by three young boys in Annapolis Wednesday evening.

Annapolis Police say the man reported he was walking in the area of Merryman Road at Heritage Court around 7:30 p.m. when he was approached by three young boys. He told police they asked him for a cigarette and then one of the teens took out a knife and demanded items from the man.

The man said he tried to run away, but one of the boys grabbed him and pulled the back of his clothes, causing him to fall. The boys then walked away.

Police say the man has a cut to his head, shoulder, and hands and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Officers did search the area for the boys but were not able to find them.
