Anne Arundel County police are investigating a carjacking that happened early Sunday morning at the Garden Inn in Laurel.
Police say the man who was carjacked reported that he was sitting in the passenger seat of his car when the suspect entered the car through the driver's side, struck him in the head, and pushed him out of his vehicle.
The man told police the suspect then fled the scene with his car.
Officials searched the area and were unable to find the suspect or the vehicle. They say he is described as a black man with a goatee, wearing dark clothes, and has a medium build.
